Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer (Research & Development)

Job Description: Web-based streaming media enterprise application development in a small, international team. Responsibilities are focused on the quality assurance, including functional testing, regression testing, test planning, authoring of test scripts, system installation auditing, automated testing, and bug/change request database management. Reports to the Head of Research & Development; takes additional direction from Senior Developer; Interfaces with Production & Operations department.

The successful candidate will have displayed a consistent history of long-term project ownership, pride and passion in their work, a stable employment history, and an inherent empathy for the end user.

	Required Qualifications:
		University degree 2+ years internet-based software development or quality assurance Knowledge of software testing methodologies and concepts Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Streaming Media) Basic Database knowledge (SQL, normalized databases) Self organizing, customer oriented and 'team player'

	Desired Qualifications:
		University degree in a Computer Science or Engineering Experience with XML languages and technologies Windows and Linux system administration Design languages (UML) System administration (WSH a plus) Experience with Microsoft programming languages (ASP, VB, C#, ...) Project management skills Experience with non-MS programming languages (Java, PHP, ...) Webmaster skills (IIS, Apache)
