Virtue Broadcasting Australia enhances
its technical, creative and development team for streaming
media.
Virtue Broadcasting Australia has recently
appointed three innovators in the development, technical
and creative fields to push the boundaries of media delivery
in the internet age.
Managing Director Iain Bartram has crafted
an enhanced team for Internet Broadcasting: “...to have
successful new partnerships and to initiate new business
directions, the company needed to capture talented individuals
to round out an already successful team” he said. “Our new
creatives have hit the ground running and really are focusing
our expertise”.
Troy Benton joins Virtue Broadcasting as
Head of Strategy and will draw on his experience across
media, technology and telecommunications industries both
in Australia and internationally. After working in Telstra's
Industry Marketing division focusing on e-commerce development
in the retail sector, Troy took the position as Vice President
of Strategic Planning at Globalfulfillment.com and relocated
to California. This role involved nurturing global partnerships
and setting business directions for Globalfulfillment's
offices around the world, focusing particularly on the US
and Europe. "As the digital landscape unfolds”, added Troy,
“Virtue is well placed to provide the services that businesses
will require to communicate with internal and external parties
as well as achieve goals and explore new opportunities."
In the technical realm, Ben Haylock adds
extensive digital media development depth to support the
group’s activities. He worked with the Chief Software Architect
at a leading software development house to design and implement
a cohesive international internetworked environment. Moving
to a digital media production unit inside Macquarie University
he worked alongside media artists on co-productions in “digital
theatre” (with Theatre of Image), and on media delivery
research with communications strategists in international
marketing. Integrating his applied knowledge of new digital
media techniques with the Virtue Broadcasting group results
in a powerful combination for the future.
Paul Stanley’s creative work in Australian
film has recently been recognised with a Finalist classification
at the St. Kilda Film Festival 2001. Paul has worked in
film, television and multimedia for the past seven years
in various capacities, from student films at the Australian
Film Television and Radio School to independent productions.
He has earned a reputation for being a skilled practitioner,
with credits as DOP, Editor and Director. Having worked
on TVCs, music videos, shorts, and documentaries he recently
completed his first feature. With a desire to come to grips
with the emerging digital technologies Paul sought to master
the art of digital filmmaking from its inception. Continuing
his associations with independent filmmakers and emerging
talent, he brings valuable experience to our team and a
fresh approach to a burgeoning area of the media revolution.
